Recently my grandmother moved out of her house and into an apartment. Last Sunday my father, his girlfriend and I went to pick up some of the furniture my grandmother had left behind and take it to our house. While I was at the house I could not resist to take photographs of what she left behind and how empty the house felt.
For sale sign out side of her house.
Living and dinning room.
Hallway to one guest bedroom
Light fixture in bathroom.
I've always loved the wallpaper in this bathroom, my cousins and I called it the Garden State Bathroom.
Grow chat left behind.
Her bedroom.
Nothing but dust bunnies and pens under her bed.
Cable cords laying around.
Boxes in the middle of the rooms.
View from the stairs into the kitchen and living room.
Half of an Easter egg left behind.
New door knobs mixed with old rusted locks.
Rusted light switches and outlets.
Black and white version.
Horizontal.
Keys to all the doors in the house.
My Father escaping from the house.
